Former Sox utility guy set to make 'Milbrockee' a thing.

Just when you thought the Boston Red Sox' offseason couldn't get any more disjointed after the Mookie Betts saga, the team pulls a 'hold me beer' moment by not signing Brock Holt, who is going to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Pending a physical, the free agent will join a team that won nearly 90 games last season, before falling to eventual World Series champion Washington Nationals in the National League wild-card game.

Red Sox nation is not taking it well

At all...

While we couldn't repost many Tweets in defense of the man referred to as the "Brock Star" due to the language used, Connor did hit on something which made Brock stand out more than his statistics; the 31 year-old was considered the 'heart and soul' of the clubhouse.

His contributions off the field were immense.

According to NBC Sports Boston, Brock is a four-time Roberto Clemente Award nominee for community service. He routinely lead the Red Sox in charitable appearances. He served as Jimmy Fund captain for the past five years, and his Brock Stars ticket program brought a Jimmy Fund patient to every Tuesday home game for batting practice. Director of community relations Sarah Narracci has long referred to Holt as her "go-to guy" who never says no.

Brock Holt...headed for Milwaukee. Wonder if John Henry will have a statement on this one too.
