If you have old, unwanted medications around the house, here's your chance to dispose of them properly.

The 14th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day takes place on Saturday, October 28th from 10-2pm.

Statistics show that there are more deaths caused by drug-related and prescription meds than car accidents to New Hampshire's population, and that one in five of teens in the Granite State have abused prescription drugs.

According the state, 273 people have died in New Hampshire from drug overdoses so far this year. Nearly 100 other possible overdose deaths are still being investigated.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs.

With more and more burglaries taking place just to steal prescription drugs, this is a great safeguard.
