The Drug Enforcement Agency and seven Strafford County police departments are taking back unwanted prescription drugs.

Saturday you'll be able to clean your homes of expired, unwanted and unused prescription drugs from 10am-2pm.

The items that cannot be accepted are needles or sharps and liquids. Only pills and patches can be returned.

Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are taken from the homes of family and friends.

Here is a list of the participating police departments:

Dover, 46 Chestnut Street;

Farmington 531 Main Street;

Lee, 20 George Bennett Road;

Milton, 7 Townhouse Road;

Rochester, 23 Wakefield Street;

Rollinsford, 667 Main Street;

University of New Hampshire, 18 Waterworks Road, Durham and UNH Health Services Pharmacy, 4 Pettee Brook Lane, Durham (noon-4 p.m.)
