Statistics show that there are more deaths caused by drug-related and prescription meds than car accidents to NH population, and that one in five of NH's teens have abused prescription drugs.

The New Hampshire Governor’s Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention, Intervention and Treatment has led an effort to respond to the crisis through the development of the Prescription Drug Strategy Plan, “Call to Action.”

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Locally, that means that October 22nd is the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. It's a day that aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
