Don't worry, your face won't melt off today when you hear the siren sound at the Seabrook station this morning.

According to Lindsay Rose, Senior Communications Specialist for NextEra Energy Nuclear Communications at Seabrook Station:

As part of a scheduled on-site training activity, Seabrook Station will sound one siren the morning of Dec. 5. The siren, located at Seabrook Station, will be sounded just once between the hours of 7 and 10 a.m. This is only a training activity and no action is needed from the public.

So don't freak out when you hear it!  There's so much more to freak out about today - shopping for the holidays, your in-laws are coming over and you have to not only cook a special meal for your Mother-in-Law that she will judge you on, but you have to clean the entire house from top to bottom and you secretly KNOW that she keeps white gloves in her pocketbook so she can test to see how much dust is on the top of each window sill.  But maybe that's just me.
