There Are Literal Signs of Encouragement in Raymond
I love the town I live in more and more everyday.
A few years ago, Raymond became the home of the Tuckaway Tavern and for that, I am sooo thankful. My freezer is always full of the best burgers, sausage, chicken and marinated steak tips around. Back in the day, if I said I was from Raymond, they used to say.... "isn't that where the WalMart Distribution Center is?" Yes, yes it is. But now, people say, "OH! I LOVE the Tuckaway!"
Let us not forget the beauty of Pawtuckaway State Park. I have hiked many, many miles of their trails and consider the park part of my backyard. I just love it.
NOW, literal signs of encouragement are popping up at the major intersections just off Exit 5, off 101 and I suspect the Raymond Coalition for Youth. I have no proof of that, I just know that they do good work.
What a breath of fresh air to pass by a sign that says:
- YOU ARE ENOUGH
- YOU MATTER
- LIFE IS TOUGH, BUT SO ARE YOU
I love it! I truly makes me feel good about my town.
Just one thing if you visit - please don't park on the street at the Tuckaway. It's annoying.
