This South Hampton, New Hampshire, Antique Store Has Unique Salvaged Treasures With Old School Flair
If you've never been to Nor'east Architectural Salvage in South Hampton, New Hampshire, you are missing a trip back in time and some of the most beautiful pieces from majestic homes (or regular homes) all over New England.
You know those really unique, stunning pieces of a home that make you gasp when you walk in the door? Those are the kinds of things that this place has.
Nor'East Architectural Antiques is kind of easy to pass by if you don't know it's there. Located on Exeter Road, the sign outside of the building is relatively unassuming. You kind of think this might not be worth your time.
However, when you walk inside (if you're like me), your eyes will light up at all the incredible architectural TREASURES everywhere.
Looking for that porcelain sink for your guest bathroom? They have it. What if you want a bathtub with the claw feet? Yup, this is the place. Chandeliers? Feel free to swing from the vast selection they have all around this place.
The centerpiece of any house can be the mantel, and if you really want a WOW factor for your fireplace, they have mantels "up the wazoo", as my mother used to say.
Can we talk stained glass?
If you've ever been inside my house, you know that I am a stained glass fan. Big, colorful pieces are in my kitchen, living room, and bedroom. I just think it's the most beautiful way to decorate a home, so when I walked into this place, my heart damn near stopped with all the beautiful, old (and some not-so-old) stained glass everywhere. And I mean everywhere.
There is glass in these pieces that you can't buy anymore. For instance, in one of the pictures here, you see pink glass. You can't buy that color anymore. It just doesn't exist. I don't know why. When I made stained glass, that's what I was told from my teacher.
Have you ever been to this place? What did you think?
