This week, Paul and Stevie have one of the worst songs ever, Rod is robbed, and Bruce Springsteen jumps the fence at Graceland.
April 25,1982:
Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder were at No.1 on the singles chart in the United Kingdom with 'Ebony And Ivory.' The title was inspired by McCartney hearing Spike Milligan say "black notes, white notes, and you need to play the two to make harmony folks!". It was later named as the tenth worst song of all time by Blender magazine.
April 26,1982:
Rod Stewart was robbed of his $50,000 Porsche by a gunman on Hollywood Boulevard.
April 27,1974:
Aerosmith and Bruce Springsteen played a free afternoon event that held in the parking lot of the University of Connecticut, Ice Hockey Arena in Storrs.
April 28, 1973:
Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' went to No.1 in the US. It would stay on the Billboard album chart for a record-breaking 741 discontinuous weeks, and has now sold over 45 million copies world-wide. After moving to the Billboard Top Pop Catalog Chart, the album notched up a further 759 weeks there, and had reached a total of over 1,500 weeks on the combined charts by May 2006.
April 29, 1976:
Bruce Springsteen took a cab to Elvis's Graceland home and proceeded to climb over the wall. A guard took him to be just another fan and collared him.
