Tom Bergeron Reveals His Favorite Portsmouth, New Hampshire Restaurant

Tom Bergeron is a local to the people in New Hampshire and we just love him here.  He was born, however, in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

He's a big time celebrity now and has hosted everything from "People are Talking" back in the '80's and '90's on WBZ to years and years on Dancing with the Stars.

Now, Tom Bergeron has a new gig with the Discovery Channel as the host of "Dancing with Sharks."

What is Tom Bergeron's Favorite Restaurant in New Hampshire?

Tom said that he has given a lot of free publicity to Old Ferry Landing right there on the water in Portsmouth, NH.

Tom said that he has lost a few brain cells to the famous Jimmy Juice at Old Ferry Landing.  Oh, Tom.  We've been there.

Tom told me that these days, he is pretty picky with what he is going to do because at this point in his career, he can.   He did tell his agent, however, if something comes along that she thinks he might like to let him know.

When Discovery Channel called, he immediately thought that 'Dancing with Sharks' was interesting and agreed to do it.  I mean, was there anyone better for that show? I don't think so. Tom said himself that it was too good to say no to.

Here's How Dancing With Sharks is Going to Work

Just like Dancing with the Stars, there will be couples, three judges, the best dance will win.  They are going to weave in education about Sharks as well.

One of the Shark handlers, Conner Cassidy is from New Hampshire.  The show also has an underwater choreographer to help with the dance moves.

Are Sharks Trainable?

Here's what Tom said:

Sharks are trainable, but you it helps to have food dangling in front of their faces.

Tom also said that some of the sharks danced better than the humans did that he has worked with in the past.
