Tuckaway Raymond and Hop&Grind Durham On Food Network This Friday
Chef Bobby Marcotte made the announcement on the Tuckaway's Facebook page:
If you don't know of the JOY that is the Tuckaway Tavern, let me tell you from so, so much expeience, you want to get there any way you can. The restaurant has take out, so if you want them to cook the food for you, they will be happy to do so. You can check out their menu here.
There isn't much on the menu that I haven't tried. Even if you are a vegetarian, please let me recommend the roasted veggies with hummus and bread AND the mac & cheese. Yummy, yummy, yummy. Their main attraction, however, is the MEAT. The house steak tips are just the best I've ever tasted in my life. I've tried to pry the secrets of their goodness from Bobby himself, (his sister in law, Kristen, does my hair) but that was a no go.
Another exciting part of that announcement was that 2 for 1 LOBSTER ROLLS are back every Monday and Tuesday at the Tuckaway. Traffic will be a little challenging, but I'll put up with it. I know where I'm going on Monday for take-out dinner.
