It is always good to know when we have to stock up on blankets and wool hats.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has created a “Coldest Day of the Year” map to predict the chilliest time of the winter season. The data is based on 30 years of data, including the average low temperature for every day.

New Hampshire may see its coldest day sometime between January 21-25. Our Western friends get their frigid temperatures earlier this season, while we have to wait in suspense come the beginning of next year.
