When You Go To Bar Harbor You Must Eat At Epi’s Pizza [PHOTOS]

Epi's Pizza is my favorite place to eat lunch in Bar Harbor.  I go to Bar Harbor every year and I can't remember ever being there and not stopping into Epi's.  Epi's is a pizza and sub shop.  They do calzones, desserts and many other delicious items as well.  Actually I've heard their other items are delicious.  I wouldn't know because from the first time I walked in (many, many years ago) I have only had 3 items.

As a youngster I always ordered pizza.  Their pizza was and still is fantastic.  At some point I switched over to the 'Cadillac,' which is the sub Epi's is known for.  It's basically a steak and cheese, but for some reason, it's an exceptionally delicious steak and cheese.  Maybe it's the homemade bread, or some kind of secret spice, I don't know, but the 'Cadillac' is a must try sandwich.  Eventually I graduated to what very well could be my all time favorite sub, it is known as the 'Flatliner.'  The 'Flatliner' (pictured above) is the 'Cadillac' on steroids.  It's a steak and cheese with mayo, peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomato's, pepperoni and hots all toasted on a homemade sub roll.  Sandwich perfection.

So, if you're ever heading to Bar Harbor I would suggest a stop into Epi's Pizza.  Great service, friendly staff, plenty of seating, and fabulous sandwiches and pizza.
