Last weekend, I went to the Tuckaway Tavern in Raymond to buy some steak tips for the BBQ at my house.  When I got there, I discovered that they had run out!  OH NO!  You might be asking yourself, did I continue to wait in line?  The answer, you bet your bippy I did.

Tuckaway steak tips are legendary.  I know people, myself included, that won't eat them from any other place.  Chef Bobby Marcotte has spoiled us and we wouldn't have it any other way.  The Tuckaway has several flavors like, teriyaki, sweet & sour, but my favorite that I can't get away from is the HOUSE tips.  Absolutely delicious.

When I was waiting in line, I remembered all the other things that the Tuck has besides the tips.  They have chicken tenders that absolutely melt in your mouth, juicy burgers and thick smokey bacon.  My BBQ wouldn't suffer a bit because of the lack of tips.  When it was my turn to head in to the store, I discovered that they were selling their big, thick, meaty burgers at 5 for $10.00.  I got 10 of them.  Then I made my way to the bacon section and picked up about 1/2 a pound.  When I got home, I put both on the grille and now, I'll never had a burger any other way.  Didn't miss the tips at all.  Probably because when I was there, they told me they make their burgers out of the same meat as the tips!  A total win!

So, will they have steak tips this weekend.  The answer is..... yes and no.

I called the Tuckaway and spoke with Brennen who told me,

We are out of steak tips this weekend as well.  We do have the Bison tips, they have the same house flavor, and a little more expensive that the regular tips.  Bison tips are also higher in protein and other nutrients.

I'm sold.  I'll be in for some bison tips.  Thank you, Brennen.  Thank you, Tuckaway.  Thank you, Chef Bobby.
