Is there anything better than watching a beautiful New Hampshire sunset on your favorite beach?  With the exception of having a nice cocktail in your hand, I'd say no.

These New Hampshire beaches are the ones that I have been to and highly recommend for a gorgeous sunset view.

New Hampshire's Shoreline is Small

New Hampshire has only about 18 miles of shoreline, but that doesn't mean that we are talking about just the ocean.

This, for example, is Lake Sunapee.  Who wouldn't want to be here?

Take, for example, Lake Winnipesaukee.  It's the largest lake in the state and has some unbelievable sunsets despite the vibe on the big lake at that time.  It is hardly winding down.  It's always a party, especially in the Summer months.

If you want a quieter vibe, I might recommend Lake Winnisquam.  Close to all the restaurants and activity that you may want, but a quieter experience all the way around.

Beach vs. Lake Life in NH

If you asked me years ago if I am a lake person or an ocean person, I would, with no hesitation, say a lake person for many reasons like; no sharks, (no offense)  more trees and less people.

After I lived on the coast of Maine for a while, however, I decided that I am 100% now, an ocean person.  The salt air, water and healing properties of the water can not be described.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't pass up a house on the lake either.

This is Lake Solitude in Sunapee, NH.  I know, I know.  Now I'm torn again.
