Ah yes, Cape Elizabeth, Maine, how I love thee.

For a "too short" time in my life, I lived in Cape Elizabeth.  It was a rented property with a 5 minute walk to Great Pond and a 30 minute walk to the beaches, Kettle Cove, Higgins, Crescent Beach.

Our kids loved it and life was grand.

Until, one day, the Universe decided to change course for our family and brought us back to New Hampshire.  Although we love the 603, once you live in Maine, it gets under your skin, especially Cape.

The list below are the highlights of Cape Elizabeth, but there are other reasons why we loved it there.

We had a great coffee shop in the only "shopping plaza" in town.  It has since closed, but they had great coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

Did You Know That IGA Supermarkets Still Exist?

The local grocery story was/is actually an IGA Supermarket.  How friggin' cute is that?  IGA!  It was small and you could get everything you needed.  Sometimes, you had to go into Portland for stuff, but not very often.

Green Spark Farm, Cape Elizabeth, Maine Has the Best Produce

I could do a whole other article about Green Spark Farm.  They grow everything you need as far as produce goes.  There is no "store" but there is a stand where you just pick up what you need and leave the cash (or check) in a box.
