A big black bear hung out in a tree in Arlington, Massachusetts on Friday morning, while police and wildlife officials searched all over for it, according to NECN News. A neighborhood dog reportedly chased the bear up into the tree on Pawnee Drive, where it was spotted by residents who called the authorities.

Even though officials told residents to stay inside their homes, people reportedly came outside anyway to see the 100-pound male bear. NECN says one man was even wearing a bear mask.

The wild bear was tranquilized by the Massachusetts Environmental Police and eventually climbed down from the tree, as per NECN. It was reportedly taken to a wooded area of western Massachusetts, where it "successfully recovered from the effects of the tranquilizer."
