You may have heard the news recently that Chef Evan Hennessey is opening up a new restaurant in the upcoming Waterfront District here in Dover, New Hampshire, according to fosters.com.

That got me thinking about this project;  How long has it been in the works?  Where exactly will it be?  What else is going into this project?  I did some research and found this project is going to level up the Garrison City.

How long has the Waterfront District been in the works?

From what I can find, over 10 years.  According to dover.nh.gov, the City and its residents started talking about this in September of 2014.

Where Exactly Will the Project Be?

Along the Cochecho River, behind Henry Law Park.  There is a cool website that you can see the before and after of the entire project, waterfrontdistrictdover.com.

What Else is Going Into the Project?

According to waterfrontdistrictdover.com, the neighborhood with include a brand new city park, 26,000 square feet of commercial space, (think shopping, eating, etc.) and 418 residential units.  (I just might relocate)

New Hampshire Chef Opening New Restaurant in Dover's Upcoming Waterfront District

Chef Evan Hennessey might be the first chef to sign on to open a new space in the upcoming amazing space, but he won't be the last.  Get ready for many retailers and restauranteurs alike to open up place here in Dover.

What is happening to our little Hamlet?  Most of me is really excited about this project.  It will provide jobs and level up our beautiful city.  There is a teensy-weensy part of me that is wondering where we are going to put all the cars coming down Central Avenue, before we get to the big right turn by Henry Law Park?  Maybe there's a plan in place for that coming soon too.

What do you think of this project?
