With all the new offerings Dover has to offer for places to eat, I thought we'd take a look back at the fine establishments that used to be in Dover.

9 Best Restaurants That Aren't in Dover Anymore

Week's Family Restaurant: (1964-1995)

Everybody went to Week's if only on their birthday to get a free sundae. Comfort food, good service, good price.

Cartelli's: (2004-2014)

Simply one of the best Italian food restaurants around. I miss their Penne a la Vodka.

Hannon's: (closed in 1985)

Located on 3rd Street in Dover in the 70's and early 80's. Many of my Oyster River classmate's first job was at Hannon's.

16 3rd Street:

In the same location as Hannon's from the late 80's through the 90's. Yes, that was me who might have taken your order.

Horsefeathers: (closed in 1992)

Upper square in Dover. My favorite desert was the warm brownie with vanilla ice-cream and chocolate sauce.

Aw Shucks: (closed in 1991)

Don't remember much about this place except they weren't there for long. Replaced by Kelley's Row.

Kelley's Row: (closed 2014)

A staple of the downtown Dover scene for many years. Couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu. Re-opened on Rt.108 in Somersworth.

The Firehouse: (now Orchard Street Chop-Shop)

When I was a kid, the Firehouse was one of the the places my family took guests when they visited from out-of-town.

Howard Johnson's: (1969-1985)

On the hill where Burger King is now. My first meals in NH were here.
