Hear Mick Jagger’s Loving Tribute To Charlie Watts at Gillette Stadium
It had been 59 years since they have done a tour without him, so said Mick Jagger at a private event on Monday night at Gillette stadium. Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, hired them for a private event.
You can hear Mick's voice crack a little bit as he remembers his friend:
I can't even guess how much it would be to get the Rolling Stones for a private party. How long ago had this been planned, I wonder? What if it was planned before Charlie died and Mr. Kraft had to pay them double the agreed price? Aaron and I were guessing how much it cost him to bring the band to Mansfield. We guessed probably around 1.5 million. Turns out, it probably wasn't that much.
According to warble-entertainment.com, the Rolling Stones aren't even on the list of '2021's most expensive bands to hire!' What?!! Beyonce, however, will set you back $2 Million dollars. I'd take Mick and the boys over her any day. No offense to her! Girl can sing AND dance!
