
New Hampshire is Listed 4th on the Highest Holiday Scam Risk List
The other day, I got a text from what I thought was my bank, a local credit union. It said that my debit card may be at risk. I thought it was a little unusual, so I called the next day directly. My credit union told me that they would never text something like that, so... scam averted, but we here in New Hampshire have to stay vigilant.

According to passwordmanager.com, the reasons why could be due to heavy holiday travel that is tied to all of our amazing skiing and other winter recreation choices.
New Hampshire is also in danger of:
- Charitable giving scams: The scammer will try to pull at our heart strings to give them money.
- Travel Scams: Don't fall for the "I can get you to Paris for $25.95" trick.
- Online Shopping Scams: I have never ordered anything from Temu. I just can't help but think, this looks way too good to be true.
- Business Imposter Scams: Someone will try to convince you that they are a business that you know and trust.

Suggestions to Stay Safe From Local Vendor in Exeter, New Hampshire

- Have a little bit of your guard up. If the discount is too great, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
- Ask a friend before you put in your credit card info
- If someone is calling to and you just feel like something isn't right, listen to your spidey sense.
