In addition to its tiny but bustling space in Kennebunkport, Rococo’s will have retail outlets in Kittery, downtown Ogunquit and north on Route 1 in Ogunquit, which will be stocked by a separate production facility in Wells.

The new outlets for Rococo’s include Bob’s Clam Hut in Kittery, whose new scoop window opened last month; the Brewster Market on Route 1, which has been operated by family since the 1800s, and a new Rococo’s shop in the Leavitt Theater building in downtown Ogunquit.

Kennebunkport residents need not worry, Rococo's original but small shop is staying right where it is.

Owner Lauren Guptil says this is a nice way to celebrate 5 years in business and one of the reasons why are the unique flavors she comes up with, including original flavors like Goat Cheese Blackberry Chambord and Chocolate Coconut Cream.

Since its first summer in Kennebunkport, the business has grown yearly, gaining local and national acclaim, including making the list of the best ice cream shops in the country as named by both Yahoo and Trip Advisor. Most recently, Rococos was nominated in the USA Today 10 Best ice creams in the country contest.
