Memorial Bridge In Portsmouth Will Be Closed On April 19

Next Tuesday the bridge will be closed to all traffic for inspection work.

The Memorial Bridge will be shut down to both motor and pedestrian traffic between the hours of 5am and 4pm.

Those of you who travel US Route 1 from Portsmouth to Kittery or vice versa, will have to seek an alternate route.

Electrical and structural inspection work will be taking place, but maritime navigation will not be affected.

So, if you're traveling by boat, no worries.
