New England: Everywhere You Look is a Christmas Card [PHOTOS]
This picture took about 8 seconds to shoot. I thought this scene was pretty, hit the 'Camera' button on my $89 smartphone, pointed it at some branches, made sure my fingers weren't in the way and then I hit a big red button. Voila, a pretty decent winter scene.
It then occurred to me that there we're bigger red fruits about 15 steps away from this shrub. Point, click. Instant Christmas Card #2 ! A quarter inch of snow turns a rotten old crab apple into something that would make Hallmark jealous.
I was getting rather full of myself at this point and snapped this shot before realizing it had cables and half of a parking spot in it. Not a problem.
Turn it to Black and White and lookout Ansel Adams!
I really feel lucky to be living in New England with all this beautiful scenery everywhere you turn. However, the amount of snow I have to shovel is usually inversely proportional to how beautiful I think it is. Today was a perfect dusting, camera ready and backache free!
