Did you ever think there would be alligators in New Hampshire?  Things are crazy these days, so why not?

There are 3 alligators who have made their new home at Living Shores Aquarium in Glen, New Hampshire.  Yup, the aquarium at Story Land.

Alligators Now Live in New Hampshire

Alligators are terrifying creatures.  They have large, powerful jaws with their teeth showing.  It's like an advertisement to prey that those chompers are deadly.  They have about 70-80 teeth at any given time.

These reptiles are excellent hunters.  They will sneak up on you despite how huge they are.  A male can grow up to 14 feet long.

The Living Shore Aquarium cites the diet of an alligator as a carnivore.  They say insects as hatchlings, fish and birds.  What they don't list is:  Human.

If you, however, are inclined to check out these creatures, then have it.  Lord knows I am not the boss of you.

Admission to Living Shores Aquarium is $19.99 if you buy the tickets online.  If you buy a ticket to Story Land too, the ticket is $64.99.

Travel time from Portsmouth to Glen is just under 2 hours.  If you are coming from Portland, travel time is a wee bit less.

From Boston, it will take you 3 hours.

I am not afraid of many things, especially animals, but alligators scare the living be-geezus out of me.  I think it was because my sister lived in Florida when I was a kid and when we went to visit her, her husband used to think it was funny to pretend to see an alligator running toward us.  He was hilarious.  He's dead now.  Dead and hilarious.

Alligators are not endangered, so, I don't feel bad about the 3 alligator skinned pocketbooks that I currently have.
