This is super cool.  A part of this iconic ride from Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire is going to be part of the National Roller Coaster Museum in Plainview, Texas.

The Canobie Corkscrew is being installed as the entryway to the Museum, so it will be the first thing that people see.

Originally, this ride was bright yellow and black, but after many years of rides, they painted it blue.

Do You Remember The Canobie Corkscrew Coaster?

There are many people who remember the Corkscrew coaster at Canobie because it was the one that made your head jerk back and forth, from side to side, basically, it gave you a concussion and whiplash at the same time and you went back for more.  It was awesome!

Here are some comments from Attractions Magazine Facebook page:

That ride beat the heck outta ya, with post whiplash I would head over to the Turkish twist and give my organs a good pressing.
First time i rode this at canobie both of my stud earrings stuck into the back of my head from the head banging from side to side lol.
Forgot to take my earring off once before getting on. Let's just say I never made that mistake again
I've ridden that more times than I can count. Stood in line taking out earring so that you didn't pierce your neck with the studs when your head rattled around. Trying to avoid the gum wall that had accumulated over years of waits in line. Good times for sure.

If you ever rode that ride, you would be, like me, laughing right now.  Especially the comment about the gum wall while you waited your turn!  So fun!
