You can't mention Tom Brady's name lately without starting a firestorm of debate among New England sports fans, but one thing about TB12 cannot be argued.

For those of you that may be too young to remember, Richard Seymour was the SIXTH overall Draft Pick for The Patriots back in 2001.

Throughout my entire life as a Patriots fan, he is the only high draft pick that I can recall that ever exceeded expectations.

If the Pats were on defense, I was focused on Number 93. It was so cool to see him consistently pressure the opposing team's QB and more often than not, be the key player in tackles for a loss.

He was selected as a Finalist for this year's NFL Hall Of Fame class, and in a couple of weeks,  he could receive the dramatic 'knock on the door' to his suite in Canton, Ohio.

It must be such a nerve-wracking experience to wait for that knock, never knowing if it will happen, if ever.

Richard just replied to Brady with this sweet and funny response.

'thx TB12 the Goat. go win lucky number 7 you always make us proud!

playing against you for 12 years made me better...

if i wasn't held by 2/3 guys on the helmet catch this would be #8'

- Richard Seymour

Seymour will find out if he will be enshrined on 'Selection Saturday' February 6th.
