Much to my delight, over the weekend, I had the pleasure of joining a few members of my family for a get-together at my brother's house.  Unfortunately, my sister-in-law's father died, so we got together to help her clean the house.  She had some family coming in from out of town and it was the lease I could do.  After about 4 hours of cleaning, my brother broke out the Barefoot Wine.  One of my sister's said, "Hey, how about breaking out the good stuff."  haha!  No offense to Barefoot wine, but I've had better in my life, so I was happy that she opened her mouth.  At that point, my brother reached for a bottle of Fulchino Red Blend that he got from Hollis, NH.  Hollis, for people who don't know, is the Sullivan Homestead.  It's where my roots began, so I was delighted to try it.  Fulchino Vinyard is nestled in the Pine Hill Valley of Hollis.  Who knew?

I've said before that sometimes, local wine can be ..... well, gross and disgusting to put it bluntly, but NOT SO with the Fulchino Red.  It was smooth, not bitter and just as dry as my skin is currently in the dead of winter, just how I like it.

If you'd like to try a bottle for yourself, here's a list of where you can do just that!

Enjoy and GO 603!!
