For the first time in history, my UNH Football Wildcats ('97 Bachelor of Arts/Communication) are in the FCS Semi-Final. There are over 125 teams in the FCS and our beloved 'Cats are amongst the final four teams left standing. This game is on ESPN 2 at 8pm, Friday 12/20 and victory will not be an easy task. The Las Vegas Hilton Sports Book has them as a 20 point underdog, so how will they overcome such overwhelming odds in a hostile environment? I think it'll help if I write a game preview/prediction blog filled with ridiculous exaggeration and wild speculation intended to jinx their opponent. It has worked for my favorite teams in the past and helps to calm my nerves.

WARNING! THE FOLLOWING IS VERY INACCURATE AND NOT INTENDED TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY

GAME PREVIEW

UNH will be playing The North Dakota State University Bison, a team that has never lost a football game since The North Dakota territory was admitted to the Union as a State on November 2, 1889. They average 113 points per game and haven't allowed a touchdown since the days of Gerald Ford(not when he was President but a center for the 1933 University of Michigan Wolverines...I think he recovered a fumble in the end zone.)

MY PREDICTION

It will come down to the very last play of the game. UNH will score a winning touchdown on a combination triple reverse, statue of liberty, flee flicker with a hook and ladder finish. This play will be orchestrated by ex-Wildcat offensive coordinator and current Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly as he will parachute onto the field with 90 seconds left in the game. "That's impossible!!" You may say, as The Bison play in The Fargodome. But keep in mind, it's Christmas! He'll slide down a chimney and then it's one easy bungee jump to Gate City Bank Field. GO WILDCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
