One of the last bastions of solitude during the workday is under fire.

How many of us disappear into the sanctuary of the bathroom when the stresses of the workday become too much? Did it ever occur to you that you could be penalized for such an action?

At a DMV near Sacramento Ca, if those moments of decompression and evacuation take longer than seven minutes, it could cost you cash.

Recently, workers at a DMV near Sacramento filed a grievance to their union because their managers were deducting pay and even leave time for employees that they deem spending too much time on the can and not enough time doing their job.

"According to SEIU Local 1000 employees union, a grievance was filed by one of their employees against a potty policy at the call center off of Power Inn Road. The union says DMV managers are deducting pay and even leave time for employees that take more than seven minutes on a bathroom break. Managers have become concerned that some employees weren’t spending enough time doing their duties at their desks."

This could be a precedent setting move. Seven minutes in the can at work.

Is that enough time for you. Can you accomplish all you need to in seven minutes?

Being on the air, we don't have the luxury of that amount of time to spend in the bathroom unless we play 'Stairway to Heaven' or 'Hey Jude'. I once had to put on 'Mountain Jam' from the Allman Brothers live at the Fillmore album because of some chili con carne I had eaten the night before. That's a story for another time.
