Fenway Park's concert lineup might have more hits than the Red Sox this summer.

Boston is going to feel very 1988 this summer. First, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, and Joan Jett announced two shows at Fenway Park. Just a few weeks ago, Bon Jovi announced they were headlining the TD Garden with Bryan Adams.

It's widely believed the success of Guns N' Roses 'Not in This Lifetime' tour of a few years ago paved the way for this summer's Def Lep/Motley/Poison/Jett stadium trek. Monday morning, it was announced Axl, Slash, Duff, and crew will invade Fenway Park July 21st. Tickets go on sale Feb. 7, according to Live Nation.

While other bands like The Black Crowes are celebrating a 30 year milestone this summer by playing a classic album front to back, Guns were focuses on recording what would become the Use Your Illusion albums in 1990. Also, they fired original drummer Steven Adler for taking too many drugs. Adler has since mended fences with the band, and has joined them on occasion. However, he is not a regular member and isn't expected to participate at Fenway Park. Classic era guitarist/songwriter Izzy Stradlin has also been MIA since the reformation of the classic era lineup.
