We say things like, "what a shame," or "isn't that too bad," but this really and truly is a shame.

After nearly 12 years at 267 South Road in Kensington, New Hampshire, The Farm at Eastman's Corner is closing this month.

According to the Farm at Eastman's Facebook page, the owners have had financial problems citing difficulties maintaining a "sustainable mission-driven organization."

The Facebook page states that the hope of the current owners is that the Alnoba Lewis family Foundation take ownership of the property.  This would ensure that the property would remain in good hands.

Alnoba

Alnoba, if you are not familiar is a property where individuals and businesses can go to inspire their employees.  There are outdoor activities to challenge people, meeting rooms and there was the farm.

Part of the mission of Alnoba is:

We believe that everyone has the ability to be a leader and you can lead from anywhere. Speak up. Make bold choices.  Find your passion and live it.

Kensington is a special community.  It has that New England feel to it.  It is one of those tucked away communities on the Seacoast, yet close enough to get to everything.

I have been to the farm many time and I am really sad to see it go.  It was their dream to keep it running, however, "times they are a-changin'," so I wish them well.

Let's hope, in the spirit of the farm, they will find another, a better place to land.

We Love These Veteran Owned and Operated Businesses in New Hampshire

In New Hampshire, we live free and are proud of it! Just take a look at our license plates. However, we are only able to live free because of the brave. We are thankful to the brave men and women who are currently fighting/have fought for our country. Many of them own thriving businesses in New Hampshire today. If you get a chance to support one, do it! These hard working people exemplify what living in New Hampshire is all about.
