A Londonberry woman is celebrating this week after setting a record at the World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai.

Noelle Lambert lost her left leg three years ago in a moped crash, according to WMUR.

While this may seem like a tragedy, she has turned it into a story of overcoming obstacles and breaking records.

Lambert has been an athlete her entire life but only started training for the Para Championship about five months ago, the news station stated.

Her inspiration? According to WMUR, it was the other athletes with disabilities persevering and excelling in their fields.

This amazing athlete is no stranger to accolades. The Sun reported that the Patriots previously honored Lambert for her work with amputees.

Next goal? WMUR stated that she is competing in the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo.

We’ll be cheering for you Nicole!
