Dartmouth Hitchcock medical centers span across New Hampshire in Concord, Manchester, and Nashua to name a few.  Many employees who work there will be affected by the recent announcement by Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all employees.  According to a report from WMUR, there are 13,000 workers that need to be vaccinated before the end of next month.

There Will Be Exceptions Made

You do not need the vaccine if you have a medical or religious reason against it.  There has been recent articles relating to religion and vaccinations, like this article that says many religious leaders have already been vaccinated and many of them do it publicly.

This Applies to Remote Employees As Well

According to the President and CEO of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, all workers, even remote workers need to get the vaccine.  The President also said this about their decision:

Provincetown really gave us compelling evidence......  There were close to 900 people infected. Seventy-four percent of them were vaccinated, only seven people were hospitalized, and nobody died. That's pretty impressive. So, we learned a lot from that experience and I think that tipped us into considering that to lead in public health, we really need to make it mandatory at our facilities.

Will Other Hospitals Follow Their Lead?

A quick google search revealed that there are other hospitals across the country who are requiring vaccines for their employees, so we may see more of these stories in the coming days/weeks/months.
